Gifted and Talented Education Advanced Certificate Program
This program is designed for people who already hold New York State certification in either a Content area 7-12, Common Branch, or Students with Disabilities Certification B-2 or 1-6. A minimum of 12 credits is required. Fifty (50) hours of supervised fieldwork is required. In addition, successful candidates will be recommended for New York State certification in Gifted and Talented as an extension to their existing certification. Candidate will be required to pass the Content Specialty Test in Gifted Education in order to be granted this certification extension after coursework is completed.
