SPA 2200 Intermediate Spanish

Spanish 2200 is the first course in a sequence of two intermediate courses (SPA 2200 and 3050) designed to reinforce and expand the necessary communication skills acquired in previous courses in order to begin to achieve the next step towards communicative proficiency (Intermediate-mid). Students will be able to accomplish real-world communicative tasks in culturally appropriate ways as they gain familiarity with and understanding of products, practices, and perspectives of Hispanic culture(s). Students will learn more subtle and idiomatic expressions and grammatical structures. In addition, through culture-related readings and audio-visual texts in Spanish, this course will provide opportunities to learn new vocabulary in context and for students to perform at the Intermediate-low level.
