Admission Screening Exams

TEAS – for Undergraduate transfer and Second Degree Accelerated BS/MS Nursing students

The ATI TEAS is the Test of Essential Academic Skills offered by Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI). ATI TEAS assesses the general academic preparedness of students entering a health science field, specifically a nursing program in the areas of science, mathematics, reading and English. The test consists of 4 sections -  approximately 170 multiple choice questions and can take approximately 3 hours to complete. For specific information about the TEAS and to register to take the test, please click on the following link: https://www.atitesting.com/teas/teas-exam.

To prepare for the test, we recommend ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills Study Manual. This study guide can be purchased via the ATI Online Store.

At Molloy University, the reading score and math score are used to determine the need for remediation prior to beginning any nursing/science courses. Two attempts to achieve passing scores on the ATI TEAS are permitted. The minimum time frame between a first attempt and a repeat attempt is 14 days and we strongly encourage continued use of the review manual as you prepare for a 2nd attempt.  TEAS scores are good for one calendar year. All scores should be sent to Molloy University Office of Admissions.
