SOC 1010 Introductory Sociology

Introduces basic concepts and theoretical perspectives in sociology. Survey of sociological concepts in the light of empirical theory and research with emphasis on basic social institutions, social processes and social change. Some sections have a service-learning component. (Recommended as a preliminary for other Sociology courses.)
