MUS 2460 Audio Technology II

(formerly MUS 246)

In this course, students explore the use of electronic media in live performance. Students are introduced to the software Abbleton Live and begin to use different controllers, from tablets, and cellular phones, to gaming controllers to control sound applications. Students are also introduced to the modular programming platform MAX MSP. Students will create stand-alone applications that can be used in their search for artistic expression, from creating simple synthesizers and samplers, to real time audio processing.
