MUS 2160 Orchestration I

(formerly MUS 216)

This course is an introduction to arranging and application of techniques used in scoring for chamber ensembles, orchestra and band. Students learn about voicing, voice leading considerations of balance and texture, and expansion and reduction to piano. Students will notate compositions using music computer software and learn about specific orchestration techniques.
