A survey of organic and biological chemistry with emphasis on the reactions of the major classes of organic compounds and their role in physiological processes. Three lecture hours and one 2-hour lab per week.

Prerequisite

High school chemistry within the past 3 years, and/or CHE 1090. Minimum of 26 on the Reading subscore of the EBRW section of the SAT Exam or a 20 on the reading section of the ACT is required to enter this course or completion of ENG 0900 or ENG 1010 with a "C" or better.
