NUR 5820 FNP: Diagnoses and Therapeutics II

(formerly NUR 582)

This course focuses on the management of the care of individuals/families experiencing a selected alteration in health. Concepts and theories related to differential diagnosis, treatment modalities, referral, patient education and the role of the Family Nurse Practitioner-Primary Care are emphasized utilizing a general systems approach grounded in advanced physiology. Application of diagnostic reasoning focuses on health promotion, health restoration and rehabilitation through the lifespan. 45 lecture hours per semester.
