NUR 5710 Creative Strategies for Teaching Nursing
(formerly NUR 571)
This is a three credit course focusing on the development of a repertoire of creative methodologies for teaching in an undergraduate nursing program. Emphasis is placed on implementation of methods to foster a spirit of inquiry in the adult learner, as classroom and clinical teaching strategies are presented and evaluated. Specific content areas include the application of teaching-learning theory, the use of technology and the arts in teaching and current research in nursing education. 30 lecture hours per semester.
