NUR 5480 Nursing Informatics IV

(formerly NUR 548)

This course facilitates the synthesis of prior learning and application of nursing and clinical informatics to practice environments. Students participate in relevant clinical practice with a health or nursing information technology expert. Seminar will provide theoretical content and discussions of the current issues and trends in informatics focusing on applications of health information systems related to patient care, strategic planning in management and tactical planning for Telehealth. 15 Seminar hours and 100 experiential hours per semester.
