ENVE 309 Hazardous Material/Waste Management & Transportation
An introduction to the area of hazardous materials management. Topics will include an overview of the area, agencies and regulations, generators, primary hazardous materials of interest, determination and classification, key elements of hazardous material and hazardous waste management, dealing with spills, leaks, and site contamination, sampling and analysis, assessment, use and storage, as well as shipping concerns, tracking and control systems, treatment and final disposal.
