ASN 370 East Asian Culture through Film

An introduction to an exploration of the cultural and historical dimensions of East Asian cinemas (e.g., Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Through interpretations of selected films and reading materials, this course analyzes the socio-political issues, economics, women's issues, traditions, national identity, and their connections with ethical issues in East Asian societies.
