STM 101 Introduction to Computer Science & Systems
Students survey major areas of computer science—including theory, systems, software, data, security, and artificial intelligence (AI)—to understand how the discipline addresses real‑world needs. Students practice problem‑solving strategies and connect technical learning to the needs of the Church and society by evaluating both the promise and limitations of AI. Students learn the components of modern PCs, laptops, and peripherals; how to assemble, configure, and upgrade systems; and how to diagnose common hardware issues. Students will develop a foundational understanding of how a biblical worldview intersects with the field of computer science and systems.
