College Liability
The college does not assume responsibility for personal property that is lost, damaged, or stolen at any place on campus. Students are advised to keep their doors locked at any time they are out of their room and to lock their car doors at all times on campus. They are cautioned to leave any valuable property at home or in a suitable storage place. Students are encouraged to make use of bank accounts and not to keep large sums of money on their person or in their rooms. Students are encouraged to purchase insurance if they are not covered under their parents’ homeowners’ policies. This also applies when traveling on college-sponsored activities and trips.
