Admission Process
Labouré College accepts students three semesters per year, with start dates in Spring (January), Summer (May), and Fall (September). The summer (May) semester is a non-traditional term where there are significantly fewer students enrolled and course sections available.
The admissions process at Labouré College operates on a rolling basis for all programs except for the Associate in Science in Nursing program, as outlined below. Rolling admissions means that there are no final deadlines to apply; rather, applications are reviewed as they become complete, and until a program is filled. Programs with limited capacity can fill up quickly. In the event that a program is filled for a particular semester, the completed application will be considered for the next available semester.
Students who apply, but do not complete their application packet for a given semester, will be given the choice to be rolled over and assessed for the next available semester, or be withdrawn from the College if their original application semester becomes full.
Admissions Process for the Associate in Science in Nursing Program
Labouré College’s Associate in Science in Nursing program has limited capacity and historically a large number of applicants. Because this is a limited capacity program, not all applicants who meet the minimum criteria will be offered acceptance to the program. Offers of acceptance will be made to qualified candidates after consideration of both the minimum criteria for admission and the candidate’s overall academic history and progress.
The Associate in Science in Nursing program will only accept applications during the open application period. Open application periods are outlined below, along with review periods. Decisions will be sent based on when a student’s completed application packet was submitted.
Candidates who submit a completed application packet prior to the Early Action Deadline will be reviewed first and sent a decision by the Early Action Admissions Decision date.
Candidates whose completed applications are submitted after the Early Action Deadline and before the Regular Admissions Deadline will be sent a decision by the Regular Admissions Decision date. Candidates whose completed application is submitted after a deadline or after the program has been filled may be reviewed on a space available basis.
The Office of Admissions will extend acceptance offers to qualified candidates until the program has been filled for a particular semester. Qualified candidates who are not initially offered acceptance may be placed on a waitlist. If spots become available, the students on the waitlist will be offered acceptance.
Important Dates for the Associate in Science in Nursing Application
