HUM 340-350 Film Studies in Humanities

Prerequisites: ENGL 103 and ENGL Core Literature course or junior standing. Studies focused on film-based approaches to the humanities, such as “The Humanities Through Film,” “War Films and the Humanities,” or “Animated Films and the Humanities.” Course materials will situate the selected films to be studied within the broader context of interdisciplinary humanities, exploring the connections between those films and relevant examples of humanistic thought and creative expression drawn from areas of study such as the other visual arts, literature, religion, philosophy, history, and music and/or other performing arts.
