BIOL 301WR Microbiology

The course includes a detailed examination of the principles of microbiology, including the structure, function and growth of bacteria and viruses, with emphasis on health, environmental and industrial applications. Formal scientific papers of laboratory results and analysis of primary literature will be required with minimum of 6,000 words.  This course is research intensive and satisfies the experiential learning requirement.   Pre-Requisite: A "C" or better in CHEM 104 or CHEM 205 & CHEM 205L; and either MSC 113 & MSC 114, or BIOL 280 & BIOL 290, or BIOL 290 & CHEM 322; and either CHEM 211SI or BIOL 223SI
