SPT 520 Sport Law & Ethics
This course will provide an advanced understanding of legal proceedings, legal research, and ethical issues in sport. It will also cover the legal aspects of managing and regulating amateur and professional sport organizations, which include but are not limited to: injury liability, risk management, antitrust considerations, constitutional/civil rights of athletes, labor relations and contract negotiations. It will also examine ethical decision-making in a variety of environments relative to the sport industry.
