MSMS 640 Neuroscience

The general objective of the course is to give students a knowledge-base of the human central nervous system that they will use when learning how to diagnose and treat neurological disorders. The course provides students the essential principles of neurological function, from the cellular and molecular mechanisms of neural communication to the organization and function of sensory and motor systems, and higher cognitive function. Clinical correlations will reinforce the knowledge of brain structure and strengthen skills to understand the human nervous system in small groups. Brain and neurological structures are studied using the Complete Anatomy virtual application.
