Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Nursing Informatics Admission

Admission requirements include:

  • A $50 non-refundable application fee.
  • A completed graduate admission application form.
  • Proof of graduation from a regionally or nationally accredited school with an accredited ACEN or CCNE BSN nursing program. Students accepted from a nationally accredited BSN program will be conditionally admitted and required to complete two courses at a “B” average or above to be granted full admission.
  • Overall undergraduate nursing GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
    • Students whose overall undergraduate GPA is below a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale must submit an official copy of scores reflecting a total score of 900 or more on the combined verbal and quantitative sections of the GRE exam previous to August 1, 2011 or 290 combined score on the revised GRE exam taken after August 1, 2011.
  • Official transcripts from each postsecondary institution attended.
  • Current Florida registered nurse license. Out of state applicants must be eligible for endorsement in Florida. International students must hold a current license from a U.S. state and be eligible for endorsement in Florida.
  • Documentation of CPR/BLS certification.
  • Current CV or resume.
  • A Personal Statement describing reasons for pursuing an advanced degree and professional goals.
  • Evidence of completion of an undergraduate course in statistics and physical assessment.
  • The graduate admissions committee may request an on-campus interview.
  • Reference letters are not required upon application, however the Keigwin School of Nursing reserves the right to request reference letters.
  • TOEFL - minimum score 550 (paper), 280 (computer), 79 (internet-based), or IELTS – 6.5 if applicant’s primary language is not English.
