SUST 320 Green Criminology

Green criminology has emerged in recent years from�issues relating to environmental and social harm. �The study of environmental harm and 'crimes�against nature' has become an increasingly popular�area of research amongst criminologists. Some of�the topics addressed in this class include:�climate change and social conflict; threats to�biodiversity; pollution and toxic waste;�environmental victims, environmental regulation,�law enforcement and courts; environmental forensic�studies; environmental crime prevention. The goal�of this course is to inspire students to research�and critique environmental crimes and harms. This�course will provide a platform to develop�innovative approaches to negotiating this�landscape in ways that lead to solutions.
