NUR 112 Introduction to Nursing
This elective course is taught by the School ofNursing faculty for students considering a majorin nursing. The course provides both historicaland current perspectives of American nursing.Discussion will begin with the historicalevolution of the nursing profession in the UnitedStates. Topics to be addressed include nursingeducation, roles in nursing, and the future ofnursing in the 21st century. Students will havethe unique opportunity to experience the healthcare environment.
