This course teaches basic concepts of mechanics,systems of forces and couples: equilibrium ofparticles and rigid bodies; analysis ofstructures: trusses, frames, machines; internalforces, shear and bending moment diagrams;distributed forces; friction, centroids andmoments of inertia; introduction to stress andstrain; computer applications.
