ENGL 214WI Research Writing in the Disciplines
Course will further develop research writingskills with an emphasis on writing across thecurriculum. Special focus on argumentativewriting, thesis development, analysis,and discipline-appropriate conventions oforganization, structure, and language; alsofocuses on using source material, summarizing,quoting, using in-text citation, usingdocumentation systems, grammar, and mechanics.Open to students in any major at any point intheir studies; however, students who pass ENGL103 but do not pass the ENGL 103 proficiency examare required to enroll in ENGL 214 prior toreaching 60 credit hours, and must pass ENGL 214in order to graduate.
