Credit Transcript
The Credit Transcript is an official document that reflects the academic history of each student at our Institution.
This official document reflects elements such as:
- Student data.
- Program of studies, minor concentrations or specializations taken by the student.
- Degree awarded and date it was conferred.
- Transferred courses and courses taken at our institution with grades or administrative notations, organized by academic terms.
- General average per academic term and the cumulative.
- Satisfactory Academic Progress Standard Status.
There are two types of credit transcripts requested by students, official and unofficial. These transcripts can be issued in electronic format or on special security paper. The electronic version in PDF format contains a digital security mechanism.
The official credit transcript is issued for requests to transfer to other educational institutions, continue studies, complete requirements of certifying agencies or employment purposes, among others. The electronic version is considered an official document. In no case will the official credit transcript requested for these purposes be delivered to the student.
The unofficial credit transcript is for the student's personal use. It can be delivered by hand, sent by postal mail or requested electronically.
The transcript of credits is available to students, who can obtain them at the Registrar's Office or through the portal for these purposes. These are sent directly to the address provided by the student in the application. The cost of credit transcription is published in the Institution's Official Cost Bulletin.
The student may authorize another person to request the credit transcript. This will be through a written authorization signed by the student, and they must present valid photo identification of both people.
Paper credit transcripts will be processed within a reasonable time, which should not exceed, under normal circumstances, ten business days from the date the request is received by the Registrar's Office. In the electronic version it will be processed in less time.
For students whose record is inactive, prior to 1995, a longer period of time will be required. This applies to the paper transcript of credits that must be requested in an academic unit.
Credit transcripts are not issued to students who have some restrictions on their record.
