BIOL 6023 Microbiology and Medical Entomology
Study of tropical diseases transmitted by vectors with the greatest impact on public health. The main vectors and the diseases that they cause as transmitters of infectious agents and as directly responsible for pathology are discussed. Emphasis on diseases of viral, bacterial and parasitic origin with their respective treatments and the functions of systematic surveillance and vector control.
