Foundation of Student Affairs in Higher Education:This course is designed to introduce students to: (a) the history and development of U.S. higher education; (b) history and philosophicalfoundations of the student affairs profession; (c)the college and university settings where theprofession is practiced; (d) professional development and professional organizations in the field; and (e) the skills and competencies necessary to be a successful professional in student affairs.
