MPAS 531 Professional Development I

The Professional Development sequence of courses (MPAS 531, MPAS 533, and MPAS 645) spans multiple semesters of the PA program curriculum and is intended to introduce and integrate a variety of principles related to professionalism and clinical practice. The first section of this course teaches the history of the PA profession and focuses on the roles and responsibilities of the Physician Assistant, including stress and professional burnout. Additional topics discussed include medical ethics, public health, and the practice of preventative medicine.
