MPAS 645 Professional Development - Clinical

The Professional Development – Clinical course follows the didactic professional development courses and will be completed during the summer semester of the clinical phase. The PD - Clinical course continues to integrate topics such as professionalism, ethics, and preparation for clinical practice. The course begins with promotion of lifelong learning through self-reflection and continuing medical education and self-improvement. Additional topics include health policy and delivery impact, patient safety, quality improvement, risk management, and medical liability. Concluding the course is a focus on career development, licensing, credentialing, privileges, employment contracts, and networking.
