NUR 133 Medical-Surgical Nursing II
This course defines the role of the practical nurse as a provider of care and member within the discipline of nursing. Emphasis is placed on the systematic attainment of theoretical knowledge using the nursing process and critical thinking skills needed for beginning medical-surgical clinical practice. Concepts of promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health in caring for adults with gastrointestinal; urinary; musculoskeletal; integumentary; male reproductive; sexually transmitted infections; sensory; neurological; and shock disorders.
