Data Science, Master of Science

The School of Sciences offers a 33-hour course of study leading to the Master of Science in Data Science (DASC) degree. This program is for individuals who are interested in the analysis of big data. The field of data science is interdisciplinary but draws heavily from computer science and mathematics. The DASC degree requires the completion of a thesis project where the student will apply data science tools and techniques to a data set from a specific knowledge domain.

Course Requirements (DASC)

The Master of Science in Data Science is comprised of 33 credits which include 18 core curriculum credits, 6 credits of thesis, 6 credits in Business Analytics, Bioinformatics or Geographical Information Systems and 3 credits in electives.
