RS 377 Apocalyptic Imagination

A critical examination of apocalyptic texts and traditions in the ancient and modern worlds, with special attention to the book of Revelation. The course also explores modern appropriations of apocalyptic literature in theology, art, and film, and will give attention to more recent movements with apocalyptic overtones.
