Library Services

The Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) Library is committed to supporting student success. Each campus is assigned a liaison librarian who works with students one-on-one teaching them how to find, evaluate, and use information effectively. Librarians are available in person, by phone, via chat, or email during normal business hours. During off hours, general, database-specific, and subject-specific tutorials are available at the bottom of the library homepage. Faculty are encouraged to schedule library instruction sessions with their campus librarian.

The CLTCC library is an online library and relies on electronic resources to support the academic and technical mission of CLTCC. Electronic resources are accessed through the CLTCC Library website. Students, staff, and faculty have access to all electronic resources via computer labs located at each campus. Electronic resources are available 24 hours a day, from any internet-connected device. Electronic resources include ebooks, scholarly databases, and streaming media.

Students may use the computer labs and printers for homework or research. A photocopier/scanner is available for student use at each campus location.

The CLTCC Library is a member of LOUIS, the Louisiana Library Network. The purpose of LOUIS is to promote cooperation and resource sharing between Louisiana’s libraries. In accordance with the LOUIS Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement, members of the CLTCC community can request books, journal articles, and other materials that are not part of CLTCC’s holdings. To take advantage of these reciprocal borrowing privileges, library users can contact the Director of Library Services for a Reciprocal Borrowing Library Card.

The library’s schedule follows the academic schedule of the college. LoLa username and password are needed to access library resources.
