WELD 1113 Introduction to Welding Processes

According to the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics the need for welders is expected to grow by 20% by 2026. Nearly half of U. S. industries report difficulties locating skilled welders. This course will help you acquire the skills these industries are searching for to be productive in the construction and manufacturing welding industry. WELD 1113 teaches introductory basic welding techniques using some of the following processes: shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and flux cored arc welding (FCAW). You will also learn safety and health procedures, and the safe operation of welding equipment.
