Course instruction includes the principles of operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of pneumatic, electronic, and digital controllers along with instruments that are found in a typical control loop. Also, process measurement and control using computers and microprocessor based control systems will be covered. Students will be introduced to various distributed control systems including the use of field bus and tuning methods in control systems
