PED-207 Prevention & Care of Exercise Injuries

An integration of exercise physiology and risk of injury/benefit to specific exercises. The role of the personl trainer in recognizing and monitoring situations for potential injury, identifying effects of exercise in the presence of injury, and determining need for medical referral is emphasized. Specific medical conditions and client presentations such as back pain, arthritis, postural imbalance, and acute/chronic injury will be explored.
