Political Science (B.S.)
Political Science is the study of political systems and the relationships between individuals, societies, and political institutions. Political Science covers a wide range of topics including judicial systems, terrorism, and the relationship between politics and the economy. A Political Science major helps students develop the increasingly vital skills of oral and written communication, critical thinking, research, and data analysis and interpretation. Political Science helps to prepare students for a range of careers in government and the private sector, as well as to continue their education in graduate school. Students take courses such as American Government, State and Local Government, International Politics, Comparative Politics, Scope and Method of Political Science, Congress, and Political of Inequality. There are opportunities to participate in Model United Nations and study abroad Political Science courses.
