PMSB 9519 Residency Interview Prep & Review
This 8 week flex period will allow senior students to prepare for the podiatric residency interview process. Students can use this time to research each residency program they are vying for. Students can participate in recorded mock interviews to identify areas of weakness they should work to improve.
Students are expected to utilize their time management skills to devise a self-directed plan to include activities such as: time spent for studying, reading and attending optional review sessions for the written portion of the Step 2 of the American Podiatric Medical Licensing Examination (APMLE). During this same time period, students will have the opportunity to improve and hone their skills in interviewing patients, conducting a focused podiatric and general medicine physical examination appropriate to the patient’s clinical presentation, and clinical problem solving and reasoning. These practice sessions will help students prepare for the APMLE Step 2 Clinical Skills portion.
