Reservation of Graduate Credit by Undergraduate Students
It is possible for undergraduate students to enroll in up to six hours of graduate (master’s) courses under the following conditions:
- The undergraduate student must lack no more than 12 hours of work to complete all requirements for his or her first bachelor’s degree.
- These 12 hours (or fewer) must be completed in the same semester, or two six-week summer sessions, in which the student is taking the graduate courses.
- Total enrollment must not exceed 15 semester hours in a regular semester, or 12 semester hours in two six-week summer sessions.
- The student has a minimum graduate admission GPA of at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) on work completed to date.
- Student must be in last semester of their undergraduate degree and must have a graduation application on file.
- The Reservation of Graduate Credit by Undergraduate Students Form is submitted to the Graduate College.
NOTE: Undergraduates cannot count work in graduate courses toward the bachelor’s degree. Such work will be reserved for credit toward a graduate degree.
Students are not permitted to enroll in graduate accelerated online courses while pursuing an undergraduate degree.
