Exercise Science

The Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science program is a science-based curriculum of human anatomy and physiology, chemistry, biology, physics, and psychology. This program provides students with a thorough immersion into the field of exercise science which is grounded on both theory and principles from core classes including exercise physiology, clinical physiology, kinesiology, motor development, nutrition and wellness, and strength training and conditioning as well as a combination of integrated classroom, laboratory, and internship experiences. The exercise science program prepares students to obtain entry level employment in health clubs, sports performance centers, and community or corporate wellness facilities. This program also provides an excellent foundation for students interested in attending graduate school in exercise science or healthcare related fields such as athletic training, chiropractor, occupational therapy, or physical therapy.
