BI 258 Human Anatomy and Physiology I

Human Anatomy and Physiology I is part of a two semester series lecture and laboratory course in which the human body is studied systematically. The complementarity of structure and function and homeostasis are emphasized. Topics considered during the semester include: cell transport, tissues, integumentary system, skeletal system, muscular system, and nervous system. Human cadavers and other nonhuman specimens are used in dissection. Lecture three hours per week and laboratory two hours per week.

One college level chemistry course with a grade of "C" or higher and a short online primer must be successfully completed via Engage before the first day of class.
