BI 256 Human Anatomy

A study of the anatomical structure of the human body. Body structure will be studied by organ systems and will involve a balance between gross anatomical study and histology. Form-function relationships will also be emphasized. The laboratory study will involve working with human skeletal collections, models and dissections of major mammalian preserved organs. This course is a prerequisite for BI 358 Human Physiology, which is offered in spring semesters. Lecture three hours per week and laboratory one day per week for three hours.
