Business Analytics and Information Systems, BSBA

Overview

The Business Analytics and Information Systems (BAIS) major is designed to provide a strong foundation in business analytics and information systems, while reflecting the rapid evolution of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), and data-driven decision making. The program emphasizes how organizations design and leverage intelligent systems to integrate data, optimize operations, and automate business processes. Through the combination of technical and business training, students are equipped to analyze complex problems, design system-based solutions, and improve organizational performance.

The curriculum offers flexibility for learners to design their own package of courses or choose from specialized concentrations, enabling them to align their studies with emerging technologies and industry needs. Through a combination of analytical, technical, and career-oriented training, students develop the skills to analyze data, and design and manage information systems to enhance organizational performance. Graduates will be well prepared for roles such as data analyst, business analyst, systems analyst, and positions focused on digital transformation and AI-enabled business applications.

The BSBA in Business Analytics and Information Systems requires the completion of a minimum of 24 credits (8 classes) in Business Analytics and Information Systems. A cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 in the Business Analytics and Information Systems major and a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 overall must be maintained to graduate.
