ENG-355 African-American Nonfiction
This course examines African-American nonfiction starting with slave narratives and concluding with contemporary writers. Some of the genres include sermons, essays, autobiographies, and editorials. This course will focus on a broad range of issues: slavery, lynching, segregation, civil rights, economic justice, Black Feminism, and criminal justice reform.
Prerequisite
Student has completed any of the following course(s) WRI 102 - First-Year Writing II, WRI H103 - Honors Advanced First-Year Writing
