NSG 630 Nursing Leadership and Management
Students will examine conceptual principles of nursing leadership, evidence-based leadership skills, and the executive roles of health leadership of an interdisciplinary team. Emphasis will be on self-evaluation, leadership skill building, team-building techniques, readiness for change, conflict resolution, motivation, communication and group process skills, mentoring employees, and coaching. Students will also learn about the legal and ethical issues important to nurse leaders. Prerequisite: None
