International Student Scholarships

The University’s International Student Office awards scholarships for students who enter the University through the International Student office. All scholarship applicants must meet admissions requirements, be in good standing with Stratford University, must maintain valid F-1 status, and have a zero balance.

Stratford University “You Are Welcome Here” International Scholarship

Overview:  25% tuition discount offered to an International student who is currently in the US on a student visa and transfers to Stratford University as an International student and enrolls in a degree program of study that would lead to the awarding of a Bachelors or Masters  degree.

Eligible Student: The Stratford University you are welcome here scholarship is offered to any new, first time applicant to Stratford University student who applies as a transfer  International student and is accepted to Stratford University in a degree seeking program leading to an undergraduate bachelor’s degree or a masters degree. At the time of the submission of the application, applicant must be residing in the United States and attending a US University as an International Student on a student visa and in good standing. Applicant must apply to Stratford University as an International student on an eligible student visa. The applicant’s current visa must be in good standing and visa must be eligible for transfer to Stratford University in an eligible degree program.

Applicant must meet all requirements for admission to selected degree program at Stratford University and must subsequently enroll in said eligible degree seeking program at Stratford University. Applicant transferring more than 50 % of the credits required for the selected program of study at Stratford University is not eligible to participate in this scholarship. Applicant for this scholarship must demonstrate a 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale applicable to the academic level preceding the level being sought for admissions or if transferring to the same degree level, in the last program in which they were enrolled.

Award Amount: The scholarship is awarded as a 25% tuition discount applicable to tuition only for classes taken at Stratford University after the scholarship application has been approved effective the term on the approval notice up to $6,682.50 for a student in the graduate program and $16,650 for a student in the undergraduate program.  All fees associated with classes and other institutional fees are student’s responsibility and said fees and institutional charges are not eligible for 25% discount. The discount will be applied to tuition only for the duration of student’s continuous enrollment at Stratford University. If student withdraws from class and are eligible for an institutional refund, the applicable institutional refund rate will be applied to the previously issued scholarship.

Application Deadline: Scholarship application must be submitted prior to the first day of the term in which the applicant is admitted as a new student to Stratford University in order to qualify for scholarship.  No late or retroactive applications will be accepted.

Terms and Conditions: The discount will apply to any class applicable to the eligible degree program in which the student enrolls. Discount is not applicable retroactively to any class in which the student was enrolled in prior to the term in which they are approved to utilize the discount or to a student who started as a new student prior to Term 3 2021. See application form for other terms and conditions.

Stratford University International Presidential Scholarship

Overview: 25% tuition discount offered to an International student who is currently in their home country applying for a student visa to attend Stratford University as an International student and enrolls in a degree program of study that would lead to the awarding of a Bachelors or Masters Degree. MUST NOT BE TRANSFERRING FROM ANOTHER US COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY.

Eligible Student: The Stratford University International Presidential Scholarship is offered to any new, first time applicant to Stratford University student who applies as an International student and is accepted to Stratford University. Applicant must apply as an International student using an eligible student visa.

Applicant must NOT currently be residing in the United States and must NOT be attending another US based University on an eligible student visa.

Applicant must meet all requirements for admission to selected degree program at Stratford University and must subsequently enroll in said eligible degree seeking program at Stratford University. Applicant for this award must demonstrate a 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale applicable to the academic level preceding the level being sought for admissions or if transferring to the same degree level, in the last program in which they were enrolled.

The Diplomat Scholarship:

Overview: The Diplomat Scholarship is offered to International students on an A1 visa attending Stratford University at a location in the United States in an eligible degree seeking program.

Award Amount: The scholarship is in the form of a 30% discount applicable to TUITION ONLY. All fees associated with classes and other institutional fees are student’s responsibility. The discount will be applied to tuition only for the duration of enrollment at Stratford University.

Application Deadline: The application must be submitted prior to the first day of classes for the first term in which the applicant begins enrollment at Stratford University as a new or readmit student.
