MED 265 EKG & Invasive Procedures
This course is a review of laboratory and clinical procedures in a medical office. This course enables students to perform electrocardiography (EKG), venipuncture, and capillary sticks using proper safety procedures. Students will be able to recognize and interpret basic cardiac rhythms, respone appropriately to life threatening cardiac arrhythmias, troubleshoot compilations with phlebotomy. In addition, administration of medication is taught and practiced. The course has lab and supplemental instructional fees.
