CIS 990A Continuous Graduate Reg. for Research
In CIS990A candidates work with their chair/committee to revise and edit their study, as well as obtain final project quality review approval from the dean’s office, prepare for the oral defense, and obtain final chair and committee approval. To address the candidate’s progress in completing the project research, candidates and committee members work in conjunction to structure course content and assignments. Coursework is determined by a completion plan for the dissertation developed between the student and his or her chair with the concurrence of the other committee members. Candidates will also explore opportunities for presenting and/or publishing research This course represents research hours for a student to work on preparing a doctoral project for approval. The content and work necessary for this course come from each student’s needs and his or her place in the project development process. If a student does not have a current IRB certificate in place at the time of requesting final project approval or does not receive Quality Review – Final approval, he or she must fulfill these criteria, requiring more research hours in CIS/990/A.
