EQ 406 Mare and Foal Management

This course will provide students with an understanding of the basics of care for a mare prior, during, and after breeding, as well as during gestation, during parturition, and post-partum including the new foal. This course will focus on the general health (including vaccination recommendations), nutrition, reproductive physiology, lactational and behavior aspects during these events in a brood mare's life.
