RE 210 Commercial Refrigeration I
In this specialized course, students begin with the fundamentals of commercial refrigeration. They explore both medium-temperature and low-temperature applications, identifying refrigeration flow problems and delving into the mechanical components of commercial refrigeration systems. Electrically, students become proficient in labeling, identifying, creating, and applying all electrical components found in walk-in coolers and freezers, including single and three-phase units and their components. The course equips students with the ability to read electrical schematics of commercial refrigeration systems. Regulatory knowledge is extended to include RCW 19.28, WAC 296-46A, WAC 296-401B, and articles from the NEC.
